Privacy Policy

NebulaCore ARK (also known in Japanese as 星雲; "we" or "us") sets out this Privacy Policy to explain how we handle the personal information of users of our website (the "Site") and the services we provide (the "Services"). This is an English translation of the Japanese Privacy Policy. If the two differ, the Japanese version prevails.

1. Information we collect

When you contact us through a contact form or by email, you may give us your name, email address and similar personal information. We use it only to respond to your inquiry.

2. How the Services handle data

Except for WordOrbit, the apps in our "E ARK-apps" series do not require registration and never ask you for information that identifies you, such as your name or email address.

WordOrbit, a Japanese-language proofreading app, requires you to sign in with a free account (a "NebulaCore ARK account"). To register and sign in, we collect the following. We do not collect or store passwords.

• Your email address (if you sign in with a Google account, the email address and display name provided by Google)
• Information needed to manage your signed-in state (the browser information of the device you signed in on, your IP address, and the time you last used the service)
• The number of times you use the service each day

We use this information only to verify your identity and manage your signed-in state, to apply usage limits, and to prevent and respond to misuse. To send sign-in emails we use an external email delivery service (Resend), to which we pass your email address as the recipient. If you withdraw, we delete personal information such as your email address.

Anonify (automatic face blur): uploaded image data is discarded completely as soon as processing on the server finishes. We do not store or accumulate image data, provide it to third parties, or use it as machine-learning data.

Astro Arch (building-code calculator): only the numbers needed for the calculation, such as site area and the designated building coverage ratio, are sent to the server. These numbers contain no personally identifying information.

WordOrbit (Japanese proofreading): the text or image you enter is sent to our server for proofreading and, to analyze the text and read the characters in images, to external services provided by Google (an AI service and a character-recognition service). We use these as Google's paid API services; under Google's terms, the content you send is not used to train Google's AI or to improve its products (it may be logged for a limited period to detect misuse). We also do not store what you enter and do not use it to train AI. Please do not enter personally identifying or confidential information.

Union (image converter): uploaded images are sent to the server for conversion and discarded after processing. We do not store or accumulate image data, provide it to third parties, or use it as machine-learning data. Metadata such as location data is removed from converted images.

Sirius (photo enhancer): uploaded images are sent to the server for enhancement, and processing is carried out in memory only. The result is discarded after it has been sent to your browser, and automatically after a set time (about 10 minutes) if it is not collected. We do not store or accumulate image data, provide it to third parties, or use it as machine-learning data. Metadata such as location data is not carried over to the processed image. To manage the daily usage limit, an anonymous identifier that cannot identify you is stored in your browser.

3. Cookies

The Site may use cookies to improve convenience and to understand how it is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Site may then not work correctly.

4. Advertising

The Site uses a third-party advertising service (Google AdSense). Advertising providers may use cookies to show ads based on your interests. For how to disable such cookies and more about Google AdSense, see Google's Advertising Policies.

5. Disclaimer

We take care to keep the content of the Site accurate and safe, but we do not guarantee it. Except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for any damage arising from the use of the Site or the Services.

6. Copyright

Copyright in the text, images, logos and other content on the Site belongs to us or to the third parties who rightfully hold it. Except where permitted by law, copying, reproducing or modifying it without permission is prohibited.

7. Changes to this policy

We may change this policy without notice in response to changes in law or in our Services. A revised policy takes effect when it is posted on this page.
