Our philosophy
NebulaCore ARK (in Japanese, 星雲, Seiun, "nebula") is a Japan-based studio that gathers diverse technologies and ideas, like the countless stars of a nebula, to create new value that is useful to society.
What we care about most is making your everyday life simpler.
We strip away complicated sign-ups, billing flows and confusing interfaces, and offer only the functions you really need, in a form that anyone can use, right now, safely. Turning advanced AI and infrastructure into something as familiar as water and electricity: that is our role.

The E ARK-apps project
A series of free utility web apps, from everyday privacy protection to specialist tasks. Each one does a single job well.
Union: Convert HEIC, WebP and TIFF to JPG
Drop in any image and Union turns it into something you can paste into an email or post on social media. It converts HEIC, WebP, TIFF and other formats to JPG, fixes the photo orientation, resizes the long edge to 1920px, compresses the file to under 2MB, and removes location data and other metadata, all automatically. No settings; just download the result. Images are not stored on the server.

Sirius: AI photo enhancer
Turn dark or grainy photos into clearer, better-looking images just by adding them. Low-resolution images are upscaled with AI, and brightness, contrast, saturation and white balance are corrected automatically, lifting shadows and holding back blown-out highlights. No adjustment settings; compare Before and After, then download. Images are not stored on the server.

Anonify: automatic face blur
A web app that protects the privacy of the people in your photos with one tap, using AI face detection. Blur or mosaic the faces you find, with adjustable strength. No sign-up is needed. Processing happens in a secure environment, and your images are never saved on the server.

Astro Arch calculates the building coverage ratio, floor area ratio and daylighting factor required by Japan's Building Standards Act. WordOrbit is an AI proofreader for Japanese text. Both are specific to Japan and Japanese, so they are offered in Japanese only.

Why privacy tools matter now
Sharing photos on social media and blogs is part of daily life, and it is easy to capture other people's faces or personal details by accident. Anonify, our automatic blur tool, was built to protect you and the people around you from that risk.
In-memory processing, by design
Our biggest strength is a design that does not keep your data. Uploaded images are processed on the server in an instant and discarded the moment processing completes. Nothing is saved to a database, and nothing is reused as AI training data.
Removing small annoyances, one by one
E ARK-apps is not one do-everything tool. It is a collection of small apps that each do a single job: blur a face, convert an image format, sharpen a dark photo. Because each purpose is different, we believe single-purpose tools are faster and clearer to use. We keep finding the small annoyances in daily life and work, and turning them into apps one at a time.

Frequently asked questions
Why is everything free?
NebulaCore ARK works on one idea: turning complex technology into infrastructure anyone can use. We want everyone to be able to solve the small, tedious tasks in daily life and work without friction, so the E ARK-apps series is free to use for now.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The English tools (Anonify, Union and Sirius) need no sign-up; open the page and use them. Only WordOrbit, a Japanese-language proofreader, requires a free account (sign in with an emailed link or a Google account; there is no password).
Are my uploaded images stored?
No. Images are processed in memory and discarded as soon as processing is finished. They are not saved to a database or used to train AI. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use the tools on my phone?
Yes. Every tool runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install. It works on smartphones, tablets and computers.
Will new tools be added?
Yes. We keep building. New tools are added to the app list at e-ark.nebulacore-ark.com as they are released.
